The biggest problem you will have as a visitor to our beautiful country for the greatest show on earth will be transport. We will collect you from Durban International Airport and host you in 3 or 4 star accommodation at Ironwood Lodge.
We will take care of all your requirements. All your meals, we will make sure laundry is washed and ironed. Transport to and from the games in Durban, entertainment after the game and between matches. There is plenty to do including relax and sunbathe on the beach. Games will be recorded and replayed on the big screen after the match.
We will be catering for groups of between 8 and 46. The party must have their own tickets as we only provide these on certain conditions.
Ironwood lodge is perfectly positioned as local activities offer a holiday experience all of their own. Our winter days are warm, around 26°C. Nights cool to 15°C The sea is warm enough to swim in year round. The weather from the beginning of April until the end of July is amongst the best in the world.
TV COVERAGE of all the matches is offered privately in your room or will be available on a big screen in the conference room.
MEALS - 3 meals a day are provided, whether on the road or while in residence at Ironwood Lodge.

GOLF -
Golf at one of 21 courses on the south coast 13 of the local courses are in the top 100, there are over 450 courses in South Africa. Durban Country Club being the most prestigious. Selborne, ranked 28 and Umdoni ranked 50 are a 3 minute drive from the lodge.

GAME FISHING -
The sardine run attracts a big variety of game fish including King mackerel, Dorado, King fish, Yellow fin tunny, Natal snoek, and Prodigal son. Deep sea charter boats with skilled skippers provide all the tackle and bate to help the novice or expert. |

GAME RESERVES, BIRDING, NATURE RESERVES -
The 3 local nature reserves are ideal for bird watching, especially as most species are resident not migrant. The walks and viewing from the nature reserves are stunning. The nearest game reserve that is home to the big 5 is Umfolozi, a 3 hour drive. A visit would require an overnight stay, preferably at least 2 nights. |

DRAKENSBERG MOUNTAINS -
The scenic trip to the Berg takes 3and a half hours, this requires an early start. for the adventurous there is the 4 x 4 trip up Sani pass, Lunch at the highest restaurant in Africa and back home. There is the option to spend the night in the mountains. |

CASINO -
The Wild coast casino trip could also incorporate a round of golf at the Wild Coast Country Club, rated in the top 10 in South Africa. The Durban casino could include golf or a visit to the world class marine world. |

uShaka MARINE WORLD -
This world class facility has a range of live shows, but the highlight is the marine aquarium and the fun activities that go with. The key components of the park are Sea World, an underground aquarium, dolphin and seal stadiums, a water park, a retail village, numerous food and beverage outlets, access to the beach and dozens of adventure sand and surf activities. |

FISHING -
Rock and Fly fishing:
One of the local experts will provide the tackle and guidance, all you have to do is wish yourself tight lines and wait for the big one to bite.
SARDINE RUN: This marvel of nature takes place each year around June. In May the old salts begin their predictions on the date of arrival of the shoals of little fish. In August they are explaining the late or early arrival. The diving gannets, feasting dolphins and game fish mark the progress of the shoals as they move up the coast. Some years tons wash up on the beach as they try to escape the following predators.
SCUBA DIVING, WHALE & DOLPHIN WATCHING -
Aliwal shoal offers a variety of dives including open water, advanced, shark and wreck diving. Best known for the congregation of Ragged Tooth Sharks in June, over 100 may be spotted on a dive. Hump back whales are a common site as they migrate up the coast to give birth. Dusky and Bottle Nose Dolphins are a common site as they follow the sardine shoals. |

BATTLE FIELDS -
There are over 50 battle fields in Kwa Zulu Natal. The early Boer and British settlers were not always well received by the Zulu in the early 19th century, later in the century the Boers and British fought a monumental war. |
